Discovering MongoDB installations

The environment discovery and refresh operation enables the MongoDB connector to determine the MongoDB installation details on a host. It is initiated during the environment set up process.

Whenever there is any change (i.e. installing a new database home) to an already set up environment in the Delphix Continuous Data Engine application, you must perform an environment refresh.

Prerequisite for the discovery operation

When you add an environment to the Delphix Continuous Data Engine, MongoDB connector does an automatic discovery of all MongoDB installed binaries on the server.

Adding an installation

If a new MongoDB installation is added to the environment, you must refresh the environment to view it in the Delphix Continuous Data Engine UI.
