Provisioning a virtual Oracle EBS R12.2 instance

The virtual database (VDB) is a Delphix virtualized copy of your source database that runs on your Target Environment. A VDB is provisioned from a dSource or VDB snapshot. 

Provision/refresh rules

Provision/refresh has to be in an order for each dataset:

  1. Provision DBTechStack ( Oracle Home of the EBS Database )

  2. Provision DB Tier( Oracle Database for EBS Application )

  3. Provision Apps Tier ( Oracle E-Business Application )

If any dataset's provision/refresh has failed, the next dataset provision/refresh should not be started until the Tier beneath that dataset is UP & RUNNING. In simple words, If database provision/refresh has failed then Enduser cannot trigger AppsTier provision/refresh workflow from Delphix UI.
